This has been a very busy week! Sponsoring both Citrix Synergy in Anaheim and E2EVC (formerly known as PubForum) in LAX was a great experience. We got tremendous feedback from existing ControlUp customers, potential customers, Citrix CTP’s and other community members.
After arriving to LA in Monday morning I managed to catch the Geek Speak Tonight event and get into the Synergy atmosphere watching some live debates from Citrix CTP’s on subjects like PVS vs MCS, Persistent vs Non-Persistent and others.
The solution expo floor opened on Tuesday and the real action began. This year the expo atmosphere was great, we managed to deliver more than 200 live ControlUp demos during expo hours and had some very interesting discussions with Citrix engineers, consultants and CTP’s. During these discussions we wrote down some great feature requests for ControlUp like adding real-time columns for GPU usage and load (Dane Young), adding an action to start CDF traces on XenApp and XenDesktop computers (Thomas Koetzing) and adding a “Request a new Citrix PowerShell Script” in the SBA community section (Carl Webster). Some pics from the booth:
We also had a chance to meet our honorable advisory board members for an ‘informal’ session:
On Friday we headed towards Alex Juschin E2EVC at LAX where we delivered a presentation on ControlUp before a great audience of Citrix CTP’s, Microsoft MVP’s and VMware vExperts. The presentation was very lively with great Q&A and feedback from the audience.
When the first day of technical sessions ended we followed PubForum honorable tradition and headed towards the hotel bar for some drinks. To spice up the atmosphere we throw in some ControlUp sponsored tequila shoots…
E2EVC was a great experience and a real chance to get involved in the Citrix community. Thanks again Alex for your support!
