As any founder knows, you spend a lot of time in the trenches, building day after day. It can be easy to forget to pop your head up once in a while to look around. That’s why moments of recognition are so important, like our positioning as a Leader in Gartner® first-ever Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools. These moments force a pause and a chance to acknowledge what we’ve accomplished.
To be clear, it’s not all about patting ourselves on the back. As exciting as this is, it’s also a chance to reflect on how we got here and why we’re positioned where we are in the Magic Quadrant. With this Magic Quadrant coming out, folks who haven’t heard of us will probably ask the same thing.
So, here’s my answer.
At ControlUp, we’ve challenged ourselves to think big and continually raise the bar, reimagining what’s possible for our company and the DEX market as a whole. This has meant countless late nights and early mornings. But through it all, we’ve kept pushing, driven by a simple idea: the digital workspace deserves better. Employees deserve better. IT teams deserve better, especially when managing increasingly complex digital IT teams deserve better tools to manage increasingly complex digital environments. So we built something better.
What sets us apart? For one thing, I’d say our obsession with true real-time data. We’re not content with snapshots and spot checks—we want the whole picture right now, in the next moment, and in the moment after that. That’s why we’ve pushed our data capture interval down to three seconds. Given that other prominent tools max out at 60-second capture intervals, I’m really proud of how much we’ve raised the bar.
We know that data alone isn’t enough. That’s where our AI comes in, sifting through the noise to spot nuanced patterns, identify problems, and even initiate remediation before users notice.
I believe another major reason we stand out is our focus on people. Customer support is everything to us, and that’s reflected in the fantastic peer reviews we’ve received on Gartner Peer Insights™. As it turns out, even in a world as tech- and AI-focused as ours, people still want to be treated like people. Our focus on people extends to our team, too. None of this would matter without them. They’re turning ideas into code, rolling up their sleeves to help customers, and constantly pushing us to do better. And let’s not forget our partners—they’ve been instrumental in helping us reach new markets and tackle new challenges.
As I said, we’re truly honored by the recognition and the opportunity to pop our heads up for a moment. But we won’t bask in this. We’re going to put our heads back down and keep innovating. If you’ve been with us through the years, we can’t thank you enough. If you’re new to ControlUp, we welcome you on the journey.
