With a move to hybrid workstyles, so many of us have grown to rely heavily on Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration with our teammates, now dispersed across the globe. In recent months, we’ve had customers who had relied on email alerts ask us if there were a way they could also share alerts in their organization’s Teams instance. That way, if there were a service disruption, IT departments—and potentially even the entire organization—would be alerted about the disruption quickly. In short, this would reduce the number of help desk calls related to the outage and keep everyone informed. When a service is down, IT can also create an Alert Policy to automatically let everyone know when the service is back online.
