This is Big—The First Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for DEX Management Tools is Out, and ControlUp is a Leader

Digital Employee Experience (DEX)

I almost titled this “Full Speed Ahead” because honestly, I couldn’t be more thrilled about ControlUp being named as a Leader in the first ever Gartner® Magic Quadrant for DEX Management Tools, but to me, this isn’t a champagne-filled finish line celebration. It’s a green light, and we’re in pole position. Let’s go.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re celebrating what we see as recognition for the hard work of our incredible team. We see this as a massive win for our partners and the customers who benefit from an industry-disrupting blend of real-time detection, analysis, and remediation backed by a nearly unheard-of caliber of support from real people.

We’re honored to be one of only five companies named as a Leader, and to have Gartner note our “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision” as reasons for this position.

All this is a big deal. But I also see it as momentum. Momentum to build the category leader for a DEX platform around three pillars; 1. legacy tool consolidation, 2. automation and 3. enrichment of key management, security and service ticket tools like Intune and Service Now.

Just one year ago, ControlUp’s leadership team laid out an ambitious plan. We weren’t just going to level up our offerings but reimagine the Digital Employee Experience space. We moved with speed and precision, and I see our position as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant as evidence of both.

We’re in the process of reintroducing ControlUp, with new offerings, new teams, and new strategies. We’ve built the fastest-growing DEX community in the industry. And we’ve done it all with laser focus on our core mission: empowering IT teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

The numbers tell part of the story:

  • A 4.7/5  overall rating based on 68 reviews, as of 27 Aug 2024 on Gartner Peer Insights
  • Platform coverage expanded to any desktop, any app, anywhere
  • Data capture interval slashed to 3 seconds
  • AI that doesn’t just alert—it predicts and fixes

The rest of the story really centers on people—our team, our partners, our customers. I’m proud of the numbers, but I’m most proud of the fact that we’re laser-focused on making life easier for IT employees in the modern digital workspace.

And let’s be clear: the digital workspace is constantly evolving, so we will keep evolving, too. Green light. Full speed ahead.
